These terms govern your use of jaygriggs.com (the “site”), operated by Jay Griggs Software (ABN 77 130 189 035) (“I”, “me” or “my”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

About the site and its content

This site provides general information about my software, web and app development services. The content is for general information only. It isn’t professional, technical or legal advice, and you shouldn’t rely on it as such. I try to keep everything accurate and up to date, but I don’t guarantee that it’s complete, current or error-free.

Enquiries aren’t a contract

Submitting the contact form or otherwise getting in touch doesn’t create a binding agreement or oblige either of us to proceed. Any work I carry out for you will be covered by a separate proposal or agreement that we both accept, setting out the scope, timeline and price.

Intellectual property

All content on this site — including text, design, graphics, the logo and code — is owned by or licensed to Jay Griggs Software and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You may view and share the site for your own personal, non-commercial use, but you may not copy, reproduce, modify or republish it for any other purpose without my permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the site for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to, interfere with, or disrupt the site or its underlying systems;
• submit false information, spam, or malicious code through any form on the site; or
• use any automated means to scrape or overload the site beyond reasonable, ordinary use.

Third-party links

The site may link to other websites (for example, projects in my portfolio). I don’t control those sites and am not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. Visiting them is at your own risk.

No warranties

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, I make no warranties of any kind about the site, including that it will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can’t lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, to the maximum extent permitted by law, I’m not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site.

My handling of your personal information is described in my Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.

I may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be on this page, with the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use the site means you accept any changes.
